darkwoodali Posted January 30, 2011 Author Share Posted January 30, 2011 Woohoo!!!!!!!! Got our first egg yesterday, from the Amber Lee (Egg - her name, don't get confused!). OH said it made him feel a bit funny when I gave it to him to hold still warm . Boiled it up and can honestly say it was the best egg ever, really creamy. Sounds a silly question, but can we expect one from her everyday now and is there a certain time of day they lay? She saw me take the egg (a tad insensitive on my part) and looked most upset! Purplemaniacs Posted January 30, 2011 Share Posted January 30, 2011 When mine started laying they gave an egg each most days but had a day off once a week or so. I understand it takes 25 hours to make an egg, so they tend to lay later each day and then they miss a day. Marshmallow has read the book she lays later each day, misses a day and then lays during the night, the only one I have had that lays when they are shut in the eglu and it is dark Hope you get another egg today.
