Old Speckled Hen
I go for a run. The harder the better. I wish I could destress with a saxophone a la Janty but I have no talents in that direction at all. How sexy is a girl playing a sax? huh.........I think it would make me feel younger too
Plum
Yesterday I had the house to myself (tonic as it is!), put the CD's on and started off with a singalong to ELO, ZZ Top, Fleetwood Mac and then any other thing I could think of. Volume up high (not advisable if you are attached to neighbours) and whoosh, housework just becomes a piece of cake and the washing and ironing is done before you know it. Then had enough time to sit and chill out with my quilting which I have neglected for quite a few months. A jolly good singalong clears the cobwebs - a little bit of dancing is good. Head banging I would say no to as I have a stiff neck this morning! And a nice long bath helps relax you too. Do all my deep thinking with my head under the water and my nose sticking out. Good job I have a huge bath. If you are near the sea (we are about an hour drive away) then a walk along the beach is lovely - whether the waves are crashing or lapping it has a very calming effect. Never thought of you as a rock chick
Valkyrie
Er Bon Jovi's in the car because I wanted a change from Def Leppard. Wasn't in the mood for Meatloaf! But I like all sorts - classical, country, 50's/60's, different countries like Chinese, Japanese, Bhangra, First Nations and believe it or not I have an Inuit one - Amazing Grace sounds really strange (although for most part she does sing in English). One year for Christmas I had an Alice Cooper CD and a Doris Day CD. But rock definitely gets the mood up quicker. And it matters not if you can't hold a note - if "Ooops, word censored!"ody's around they can't whinge.
