Joseph Search for a Choir - PLEASE VOTE!!!!

Recommended Posts

My school's choir has entered the Joseph Search for a choir competition. Afetr trauma trying to upload the film I did of them we have finally got it sorted today (long story) and we are on the list :lol: You can't vote before tuesday now, but if anyone has a few spare minutes after that and would go to

http://www.josephchoirsearch.co.uk and look for Chorlton Park Primary School - plesae rank us so we can get into the final 20. The choir have been working really hard since this was announced at the beginning of the Easter holidays ( helpful!) and we would appreciate lots of great rankings! Apologies in advance to any other forum memebrs whose chidlren/schools are also involved int this

There were huge problems with the site yesterday - basically it couldnt cope with the amount ot traffic which suprises me with it being a BBC site. Anyway, we're on! You can rate other choirs as well so maybe if others post school names here we can go round giving them all a 5!!!:wink:

Terribly sorry Bellekatz....but feel obliged to vote for Dobcroft School....because it is within spitting distance of my house!

Edit: Changed my mind...am voting for the school my children attended as I see it has entered.

I've just had a look at that site- 38 pages of choirs, so far

It's going to make it hard for anyone who seriously wants to work their way through them all and choose the choir that they really believe is the best sounding. You'd need several free hours to listen to them all, even with the very short clips provided, and then how do you choose between them :? It looks as if it's likely to be down to the school that can get the most number of people to vote :?

Anyway I don't know any young people involved in this myself, and the local primary doesn't appear to be participating, so I'm more than happy to submit a vote for the choirs that any forum members are involved in, especially if I can make more than 1 vote :D:D

Good luck :D

Please, please, please, if you can try and give Chirnside primary a vote or two while you are there, I (and my lovely son) would appreciate it greatly. There video was uploaded just before the site problems, and they are a touch peeved at all the down time the site has had since they went on.

Have just gone and checked through 38 pages of choirs, so I could rate Duncans, and despite their video being uploaded last week, it's not there.:evil::evil:

Ive been through them this morning as well and cant see it - I would definitley let the school know so they can email the BBC - I sent 2 stroppy emails to the Beeb last week and they did finally get their act together on Friday night, and i got replies as well! Let them know before the deadline today - I'd hate for those kids to miss their chance after all their hard work

Yeah, i sent a couple of stroppy emails - the second prompted by a blanket email that actually didn't address the questions I had asked in the first! They've said they didn't realise how popular the competition would be - how could they not expect a good 1000 entries for a competition open to all primary schools in the country? Never mind.......

Remember to all keep voting for Keith as well! :D

Duncans school is STILL not on the site, despite the fact that apparantly it appeared briefly last Tuesday. The headmistress is fuming, and has fired off a couple of stroppy emails to the BBC about it, as have I, but we just keep getting blanket responses back.

Why on earth haven't they put an alphabetical search facility into the site.

Who has the time to trawl through 51 pages?

The school I intend to vote for has vanished although I know for certain that it was entered early last week.

Amateurs. (The website designer not "my" school).

The organisers are saying that they didn't anticipate the volume of interest.

Amateurs. (Their marketing / research people).

Harrumph!!!!
