Buying buff orpingtons

Recommended Posts

Hi. Large fowl buff Orpingtons would be too big for an Eglu but bantams would be perfect (the bantams are still a good size)

The Buff Orpington Club will be able to give you the details of breeders in your part of the country

They'd be fine. Any chickens need to be able to keep out of the rain and they never go back in their house. I used to put a clear shower curtain or tarpaulin over the run held in place with bungees and bulldog clips.

Looking forward to seeing your pictures and girls :D

I have two buff orpingtons in a go and they seem fine. Although i am treating them to a 6x6x6 wir  . They are truly wonderful. We got ours from pages poultry, look her up she was/is wonderful. Any problems you can call her, e-mail her or go and see her. I think she shows the buff orpingtons but has all kinds of orpingtons and other birds. I let mine out every day and they follow me everywhere. They can only get about a foot off the ground although they really flap to do it  The only problem we have found is that you have to really really look for mites etc as their feathers are really thick. We lost our 1st girl to feather mite and now check and spray weekly. Orpingtons all the way for me
