ali-s Posted March 5, 2011 Author Share Posted March 5, 2011 My glasses have broke Sat reading last night when PING the pin holding in one of the lenses popped out and flew across the room, the lense landed on my lap. Much scrambling about on the living room carpet looking for it, eventually found it nestled in the fur of a sleepy Cat The second pair of glasses eventually arrived after the frames were out of stock for a while. These were my first choice of frames. they are a bit smelly The little plastic bits that sit on either side of your nose smell.... of plastic. The smell is putting me off wearing them. Even when I have taken the glasses off the smell stays as it is then on my skin. Even OH can smell it on me just after I have taken the glasses off. I have been thrusting the glasses in front of people asking them to sniff and have been told they smell. Leaving them out of the case so they can "air" has not lessened the smell. Looks like I will be back at the Opticians next week to have one pair of glasses mended and to see if they can replace the plastic bits on the other pair Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ain't Nobody Here Posted March 5, 2011 Share Posted March 5, 2011 That's not good . You've only had them five minutes . Pity about the smell - have you asked the opticians about it? I went for my eye health checkup a few weeks ago and was told everything was fine . Amazingly my eyesight hasn't got any worse since my last test (*ahem* 5 years ago ) .
