batcatz
Hi is this a good sewing machine? It's had good reviews on revo. I'm a novice and want to make things out of fat quarters to start with. http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.206-0145.aspx My budget is £100ish. Any other suggestions? Thanks,
Plum
Looks ok to me and is lighter weight so easier for lifting but may not be so good for thicker fabric. You may find you get more for your money from SMD machines what about this brother one it can drop feed dogs and has a needle threader http://www.sewingmachines.co.uk/brotherxl5500_info.htm Depends what you want it for really. If you are starting a bit of patchwork with fat quarters I would go for the brother so you can get the quarter inch foot, walking foot etc later. Omletina Kyckling
it can drop feed dogs That sounds rather cruel AND painful

batcatz
Thank you, that looks good and I love all the free stuff that comes with it. I thought the same about drop feed dogs and had to look it up on wiki.

Plum
I got more excited over the threads when I bought one from them and free scissors
