Whooo, am so eggcited. Been away for a few days leaving Mum in charge of the chooks. I went to see Boyzone and then went to Cadbury's world.

 

I've just put the girls to bed and when I went to stroke Lulu the Bluebelle she's crooked her wings slightly and crouched. The first time she's ever done it!! I'm regularly checking nest boxes and pen now for eggs!!!

 

I hope its not too much longer, they are getting 22 weeks on Tuesday.

Congratulations - you won't have to rely on Cadbury's for your Easter eggs!

 

The great thing is, crouching makes 'em easier to catch as well.

My esmerelda has started crouching this week too and they're a tiny bit older than yours, maybe a couple of weeks older (they were 19 weeks when we got them in January). She was really flat to the ground, wings slightly spread and tail in the air
