TAJ
My babies born last October have been out free ranging, but tend to run back in their Eglu if the big girls approach them. Today I decided to lock the Eglu so they all had the garden and cube to use - all went fine - a bit of chasing but that was it. At dusk I wanted to see if they all just went in the Cube together - I kept looking out and the big girls hadn't gone to bed THEN the next time I look out all the big girls have gone to bed in the cube, but where were the 5 youngsters? One was in the garden at the door of the Eglu waiting for it to open and the other 4 had vanished, then I noticed one perched for the night on top of the 6ft fence at the end of the garden - just his tail, the rest of her body hidden in the shrubs in the next garden! Eventually I found the other 3 in the Cube (hiddden underneth other chickens, but quite happy). I think a bit of wing clipping is in order - a dog lives the otherside of that 6ft fence.
