Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I can't quite believe it but yesterday my original Omlet hen, Bossy, came into lay for her sixth year

 

I had her in May 2006, when she kindly laid an egg on the first morning she was here. Yesterday was my first four egg day ever, never had four laying hens at the same time before

Wow! Respect for that hen! My original Omlet girls are sadly long gone, but I do have a Speckledy who must be nearly 4, and she's still laying more regularly than her younger housemates.

 

It is marvellous when you get a four-egg day, isn't it!

Brilliant, my orignal omlet girls are no longer with us but the other two we got within days of the Omlet girls are still laying eggs for us but this is only their fourth season.
