Is your dog's unusual barking a secret code for something mysterious?

I just went out to say hello to me hens and cockerels, and found one of my Pepperpots dead, she seemed absolutely fine yesterday, and i'm baffled.. and sad

This isnt the first time this year.. and sometimes i'm prepared because they seem poorly but sometimes i'm not,, I feel as if I know what I'm doing but can anyone advise..?

I'm sorry . What a terrible shock . Sometimes hens are quite good at disguising illness till it's too late.

I keep thinking its my fault.. but I know i'm really looking after my flock.. they are well fed and clean and loved.. I suppose when you have 30 or more chickens these things do occur, I did loose a few over the really cold snap we had, but now it's got a bit nicer I wasn't expecting it.. mind you it did get to -1 in London last night...

How sad, I lost one suddenly and really you can't tell what happened. You could ask for a postmortem

I think sometimes these things just happen and there is no rhyme or reason.
