Margaret
Jim Vyse has kindly delivered my 4 sacks of mash and 1 of Alpha mix £71.65 :roll This is how much they consume each month, I know they are greedy but its soooo expensive. Thought Wiggly Wigglers was bad enough, mind the benefits are so good, not sure what to do. Keep buying it I suppose, who need money in the bank anyway
Redwing
Are you sure they arent wasting a lot or you dont have rodent visitors? My 50+ birds dont get through much more than that at the moment
craftyhunnypie
My 35 get through just about a sack of layers a week nearly. Your bill seems mighty high! Are you feeding the local garden birds & small furries? Emma.x
sjp
have you thourght about switching to pellets my 8 take about 6 weeks to go through a 20kg sack
sparkysmum
I gave up the Garvo. They were on Alphamix &costing a small fortune. They now get Wiggley Wigglers with bokashi & omlet corn. I still use Garvo growers mini pellets , which wasn't expensive & mix it with their mash when I remember. I do like Garvo but it is ludicrously expensive although I haven't tried their "normal" mash
Redwing
Garvo pellets from my supplier are the same price as Farmgate round here so I dont find it too expensive but I think some suppliers load the prices more than others so think I am pretty lucky! fluffyfeet
I pay £10 for a big sack of Garvo layers pellets and I reckon it lasts about 6 weeks and thats with 12 bantams with healthy appetites. I get mine from Sturmans in Oldbury, West Mids, and he has a stand at some of the shows too. Dawn x
chuckmum6
I pay £9.60 for my Garvo layers pellets I don't think that is too bad I have paid that for regular run of the mill feed. I do think my girls are looking very good on it too!
Margaret
No furry cretures, just greedy The problem with the Garvo is the delivery,, 20K bag is £8.95 But with delivery £15.20 So 4 bags is £60.80 plus the Alpha mix !! Did use Forsham Arks, whick was £20 in petrol to drive there, but they have run out... Jim Vyse service is great, its just the price. chuckmum6
I get mine locally and they deliver free I guess I'm lucky
fluffyfeet
I've just noticed that they are charging you delivery on each bag which I think is a bit naughty when they are all coming together. I'd be inclined to ask if they could discount on that, especially if you have a few at a time. Dawn x
Chucky Mama
I am resisting the temptation of going Garvo but it is hard
