Hi

Has anyone used plastic grass to line the run with , I was thinking of doing this, and then creating a dust pond for them to play in , would appreciate any advise on this, as putting the run on slabs.

Can't see it working if I'm honest. You need something in the run for them to scratch around in and to absorb their poo.

My firm favourite is Aubiose, which is a hemp based horse bedding. Have a hunt round the forum, there are a few threads about it.

I agree too -although I use Aubiose on bare earth not slabs, but in a covered run so it stays dry. I wouldn't be without it.

I've found any of the horse beddings work fine. Aubiose and Hemcore are good but more expensive - hemp. Easibed is good and bedmax which is shavings so doesn't rot as quick on the compost. At present I am trying Strawsorb by Ossichaff which is from rape straw and only £5 a bale.
