Did anyone else not get their flowers? *Updated*

I ordered flowers form a well known company who were advertising Mothers Day deliveries. I called the company in person and ordered a bunch for each mother (not cheap!) and now I find that they stayed in all day waiting for flowers that never arrived! Did this happen to anyone else? I am rather upset as I was at work all day yesterday and so couldn't see either of them.

Yes that's what they are doing. I pity the man in the customer services department as I think he's going to have a rotten day - it appears there was a BIG problem.

 

Turns out my mother didn't get her card either - which was posted AT the Post Office on MONDAY!

It's really frustrating. My dad sounded really cross (with me) on the phone this morning when I called to check - mind you that might be because I woke him up! OH's dad wasn't impressed either as i'd told him they were coming and they'd waited in all day.

oh that's bad. I ordered flowers for mum and mil to arrive on sat (not thinking they would deliver on a sun) but got an email sat pm to say they couldnt deliver sat and would do so on sun.

we had a big family lunch here on sunday...

sunday deliv was fine for my mum, as she lives a minute away from us; but parents in law left home at 10am to meet us at school farm event at 11am, so hers had to sit in the porch all day...

 

I have been given a £5.99 refund per bunch though, so I'm not too displeased.

Dad called earlier to say Mum's flowers arrived at half twelve so she'll be pleased when she gets in from work. Don't know about the other ones yet.

 

I am VERY impressed with Jonn Lewis - I got a call from OH's stepmum in the evenng to say she had her flowers - they'd gone to next door on the Saturday! I called the shop back to tell them and the lovely woman said that as the refund had already been made they would leave it at that. Excellent customer service I reckon.

 

Two very happy mums - that'll do me!
