She is a tenacious and mischievous character and made sure the whole neighbourhood heard her efforts. There's one black sussex hen which if the next box is in use when she wants to use it she clucks and shouts right in the doorway of the nest box, she's a right old bully, when I hear her I have to go and encourage her to leave the busy hen alone for a while...tit bits usually manage to take her mind off it for long enough!! peckingham palace Posted April 13, 2011 Author Share Posted April 13, 2011 Even better news, Bluebell has laid her first egg this morning shortly after Daisy laid her second egg, once again making her song and dance about the whole affair. So I now have 3 of the 6 girls laying eggs. Every egg is as exciting as the first - or is that just me!!!! Also everytime I got to the WIR and cube I do a head count - is that normal?
