Eglu Go Up with 2M run for sale Wrexham

Sorry I dont know what its called, hence the title, but you know that big coloured bit which is double insulated on the eglu? I'm just wondering because recently I've noticed it has lots of tiny little pin prick size holes in certain areas, and the eglu has gotten quite dirty and dusty recently which means the holes have turned black because of mud inside them. I've tried scrubbing them out, but they don't come out. I'm just wondering if anyone elses eglu has these little holes? I've had it since november 2010. Thanks.

Hmm maybe. Mine is 'pitted' in places so is looking dirty quite quick. Only had mine a couple of months

I don't really mind if everyones is like that, I just don't really want one that might be classed as seconds if you know what I mean!

I suppose it could be the natural degradation of the plastic? What they call 'plastic fatigue'. Nothing is everlasting of course, but it does seem a bit quick for yours to be spoiling. My is unfortunately shamefully mucky , but I will give it a wipe over tomorrow and see if it has any little holes. Will report back.

You're right, but it still doesn't seem long since we've had it and I've never seen it on an eglu before. I'll try and get a photo tomorrow if I can to show you what it's like. Oo please do I'll be interested to see whether its just mine Thanks

Mine has lots of tiny pin sized holes all over the coloured part. Recently jet washed it and it comes up a treat.

and mine just like little pit marks, sure it's normal and jetwashed off.

Glad it's all normal I need to jet wash the slabs (thanks to the chickens!) so may as well do that while I'm at it! Thanks for the help guys

Just jet washed it and it came up lovely!!

I've decided to s"Ooops, word censored!"e all the wood chip out of their run today too and give everything a jet wash in their run! Made cleaning the eglu easy, took about 5mins with the jet wash

Had a look this afternoon and mine has tiny pinprick holes in the surface of the purple too. Never noticed before.

Ours is the same.....a quick blast with a power washer brings it back to life.

Yup, here too. The Go doesn't 'cos its a different plastic and moulding technique.

 

Jet washed ours a couple of weeks ago before the Holiday chickens moved in and it cleaned up really well!

Ahh thats all reassuring! Now I've got everything shining and glimmering I'm too protective over it now They've been scratching all their woodchip and digging holes in their lovely level run All that digging and s"Ooops, word censored!"ing and jet washing... hmph!
