Did anybody apply for tickets for next years Olympic Games? I applied last night for tickets to two events and got a confirmation email with my reference number. But when I log into the site it says I haven't applied for any tickets I've emailed them to ask what's going on but as there were so many problems with the site last night I don't suppose I'll get a reply anytime soon so I thought I'd ask here if anyone else had experienced the same thing. The maximum sub-total of my request was incorrect too, it was less than it should've been but I had hoped that as the confirmation email had the correct number of tickets stated in it that it wasn't a problem. I know we're not guaranteed to get the tickets anyway but if the application has gone wrong my eldest daughter will kill me

I was going to... but then I looked at the prices for any events where there might be a medal, and it looked like a minimum of £400 for 4 of us, before we even got there, ate anything etc. so we decided we'd stick with the telly!

As we're in the North West, we've applied for tickets to the semi finals of the football at Old Trafford.

This thread made me check our Application,put in for tickets to the mountain bike racing .

We applied for football at the Rioch, Sun 27 July, (two matches for £20)

and the mens final (football) at Wembley.

 

Also applied for one session at the olympic stadium (including the 100metres mens final).

Panic over! I phoned them instead and my application was indeed received Fingers crossed we get chosen Mens 10M synchro diving and showjumping

We wanted to go as a family but to see bits of different things, we want to go and see the swimming, a track event and the gymnastics,,, unfortunately they don't do one of those tickets you have to pay for a whole day event which costs us loads so we ended up doing nothing.... dissapointed tbh

My OH has applied for a number of things, including the opening and closing ceremony. He's really keen, I'm not bothered really. The cycling time trial is doing a 3x circuit just around the corner from our house and it's free, so I'm very happy with that as it's the only thing I'd really like to see anyway.

Hubby's applied for a few of the football matches happening in the Millennium Stadium, both men's & women's. Think they were all £20 tickets. He did it way back when could first start applying.
