Been trolling round facebook and looking after my baby mainly so haven't been about on here for a while, but I've found a new chicken book so thought I should mention it. OH treated me to this book as it was on offer on The Book People. Alice Walker wrote The Color Purple. I've always loved her prose - so warm and wise - like being wrapped up in a big, poetical,word blanket. She always kept chickens as a child, and got some as an adult and started to blog about them. The posts were collated into a book and it's just lovely. A short chapter is about all I can manage post-baby but it's a lovely just-before-bed, snuggly, happy read. Has anyone else come across it?
