hi guy,was having a chickeny chat with one of the moms at school. To my horror she was telling me her cube is on bark and mr fox managed to tunnel his way in and get her chucks I thought it was fox proof. So glad my girls are on slabs.

mine has a row of slabs *outside* of the run too - at least that way, a fox doesn't stand any chance of breaking in!

Any run on a reasonable depth of loose material such as bark chips is at risk - thats not hard to figure out!

I suppose the reality is that a lot of people take information at face value and don't use their common sense - or maybe they don't actually know how predators behave?
