peachypie
Hi, We have 6 new pullets which need identifying, if anyone can give us any insight into what they may i would be very grateful. They are about 5-6 weeks old. There were 3 large buff coloured eggs and 3 very small white eggs if thats any help. The one that has the mohican has some very light feathering on her/his legs and 5 toes. All the rest have 4 toes. Redwing
they all look quite cross bred, no real features stand out as being pure bred for example number 4 looks like a mismarked silver laced wyandotte but the legs arent the right colour Number one looks like a sweetie and I like number three too. The one with the hairdo is a silkie cross hence the hairdo and five toes Whatever they are they all look very healthy Number 2 is almost certainly male though and I would question whether number six may be too
Ain't Nobody Here
I bow down to Redwing's vastly superior knowledge . I have no idea but they're all very cute . Welcome to the forum, by the way .
peachypie
Ah thank you for that, we kind of thought they were crossbreeds but no idea exactly. We have a couple of pure breeds and let one of them sit on these eggs when she went broody. Is it possible to tell who is male/female by the way they fight? As number 5 fights with his/her feet! Daphne
No1 looks like it could have buff orp in it; although the absence of tail is slightly odd! It does look rather sweet Boys and girls can fight with their feet.
bostock422
I also think the second one is a male
