abwsco
Going to order DH a Kindle today so as there is 20% off on the lighted covers are they worth it. Does it mean he can read in bed without disturbing me. Ta
Egluntyne
Definitely worth it. I wouldn't be without mine. I used to read in bed with one of those head torches and Him Indoors always complained that it was like sleeping with Arthur Scargill. Not any more. abwsco
Thanks Egluntyne LOL's at the Arthur Scargill reference DH hasn't tried one of those but once did have a light that reminded me of a flaming search light.
Sheilaz
That's a brilliant recommendation, Egluntyne. I haven't used one, as I ordered without, but have regretted that ever since. I often read after "lights out" or in dark corners, and think it would have been a great solution for me, if only I'd asked here first. Seagazer
I've got one, its really handy, especially if we carry on camping (no pun intended) Nothing disturbs my hubby in bed though.
abwsco
Just ordered them both. Baulked a bit at the price of the cover but it'll be worth it I'm sure. Boringly though he wanted the black cover. Was tempted to say they'd only hot pink in stock but behaved myself!
Sheilaz
It will be worth it, I look forward to hearing how you get along. I went for bright green, knowing that LSH would prefer black, but also knowing that I'd prefer green, even though it was a present for him. Also, we're terrible at not being able to remember where we put things, and it's hard to lose a bright green object. The black does look good, I think you'll be pleased. Cinnamon
Well,I sold mine on ebay last week & bought the non lit one, which is much lighter,& therefore ,for me,,more comfortable to keep in my bag. I never ever, not once, used the light anyhow
Sheilaz
How funny, I should have bid! I suppose it all depends on where and when one is reading, I don't know how I always end up in dark places.
abwsco
Oh, I'm sure the light wil be well used as DH likes to read in bed and goes to sleep later than me quite often.

Egluntyne
Hot pink here too ... to stop the menfolk nicking it. Mind you, I bought a pink camera for the same reason, and haven't seen it for months. It will be round a U bend somewhere, no doubt.
abwsco
Have got the Kindle and cover today. They tried to deliver yesterday but we were at work Anyhow, I'm enjoying DH's Kindle and will report back as to whether the light disturbs me or not tomorrow.
