Chucky Mama
ES (17) is planning a trip to Paris with friend in a few weeks and is looking to rent a cheap apartment or in fact any cheap accommodation while they are there. The plan to stay for 3 nights. Does anyone have any tips? They have seen some but they require deposits and they are on a tight budget as have insisted on flying
sadietoo
My DS is currently "doing" Europe with some friends and they stayed here http://www.montclair-hostel.com/e-hostel.htm
Alis girls
Citidines are good - sort of a aparthotel thing. Google Citidines
squiffs
Yeah I don't know about 'apartments' on a budget - but hostels are a more realistic bet. hostels.com is good but not necessarily cheap, you can find gems though - when I stayed in Norway I stayed in a beautiful cafe/bar/hostel in the centre of Bergen, 8 nights for £40! Lesley
There are a lot of the cheaper 'chain' hotels in La Defense area which is right on the edge of the Metro - a short walk across a bridge to the nearest Metro station.
gongladosh
We stayed here last year - http://www.angleterre-paris-hotel.com/index_en.html It was cheap (100 euro per night), very clean, reasonably-sized and very well located - 2 mins walk from Champs Elysees on the Arc De Triomphe end - a good location really. Chucky Mama
Thanks for all of your suggestions. We were a bit tight for time and looked at all of you suggestions. They were great but many were booked up for the dates that we needed. In the end we found a (hopefully) great apartment through This Company They don't normally take under 18's but have made an exception providing that we take ultimate responsibility 350 Euros for 4 nights including bedding and towels. It is near the Bastille and looks pretty smart compared to some of the places we were looking at.
