Maybe a stupid question but how do the chicks sleep when the have this bright red light in their home? I have a chick that is 4 days old and we have it under a infared light at night but i am worried it cant sleep. Advice pls!

They manage to sleep okay. The red light is not as harsh as a normal white/clear bulb. I think mine found it a comfort.

Its only a dim red and they can just fall to sleep like a drunkard!

Still no friend. It seems very happy actually as its growing big and strong. I have another egg that i am incubating but i'm not sure its going to make it as it was due today and my friends hen decided she didn't want to do it anymore and it started to go cold. She has given it to me to try but not sure if it will make it. I DID try to find a friend but all the people i phoned or spk to personally didn't have chicks that were the same age so said it was no point as it would get bullied
