dixie chick
Gradually, the Garvo distributor seems to be listening to us! We now have another stockist in Cheshire - near Chester... It is at Gatesheath Saddlery, in Tattenhall CH3 9AF tel; 01829 771730. For those of you in North Cheshire, the Sevenoaks Saddlery stockist might be nearer ( 01606 892700) I have just picked up a big bag of Alfamix and a big bag of Layers Pellets - seemed really cheap without the carriage charges! ( and at last they have started to do the Alfamix in large bags ) ......Going out now to watch the girls go mad for the Alfamix - which I only give them in the afternoon after they have had their boring old layers pellets
scarlettohara
Can anyone tell me a stockist near either Margate or Canterbury ?
sparkysmum
Dobbies seem to be stocking it up here too Only a limited stock but hopefully they might expand their range.
MammaT
Scarlet, Grain Harvesters at Wingham have the layers pellets and some other bits, that's where I go. Layers was just over £10 a couple of weeks ago and considering their bog standard layers are £8.99 I don't mind paying the extra. I've also picked it up at the new Dobbies at Ashford near the Cineworld cinema when I was over that way. Hope that helps.
scarlettohara
Not keen on pellets, mine prefer layers
jimnpaula
I've just picked up some mash and pellets from the new Dobbies garden centre near J9/M20 Ashford (Kent) The mash bag was torn so was 10% off. They had a range of products for other birds (pigeons, cockerels, white chickens) too that I noticed, last time we visited they didn't have any 730 or 731 left. dixie chick
I had gradually weaned mine off the Alfamix and onto the pellets - but today I gave them some Alfamix as a treat since the weather has been so miserable lately that I thought they needed cheering up ...... I know - utterly soft! OMG - I cannot believe how excited they were! They completely loved it and ate every s"Ooops, word censored!"..... and I have to admit - if I was a chicken I would too....it does look really scrummy. Guess I am going to have to cut back on my grocery budget and increase my chicken budget!
