Luvachicken
I had a load of pretty poppies that grew and their seed pods are just ready for shaking , but I do have quite a few seed pods and they are always crammed with seed - so, can the girls have some and if so how many ? Does any one know if I can put the same seeds on my bread dough ?

counturchickens
I think you can eat the seeds, but am waiting for an expert, so please don't try this at home! But if we can, does it mean they can?
witzend
PLEASE does anyone know? I've 1000s of the little blighters and IF let the girls out to FR they'll probably gobble the lot!!!
AlisonH
I've got a load of sunflower heads - can they eat sunflower seeds?
squiffs
I think you can eat the seeds, but am waiting for an expert, so please don't try this at home! But if we can, does it mean they can? Not necessarily at all - rhubarb and st john's wort are supposed to be toxic to chickens.
