LuckyChickenLover-
What has the toolbar got on it? Could it be from any programs that you have open (Word, Excel etc)?
quickcluck
it's webroot our security thingy. It updated and there it was grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. The tool at the top to manage toolbars isn't there in windows 7.

Geoid
Could you post up a screenshot?
LuckyChickenLover-
Go to 'Tools' in the top left hand corner, then 'Add-ons'. If the webroot toolbar is on the list then click disable, but make sure that it's only the toolbar otherwise you might disable the whole thing. Hope that works

Ain't Nobody Here
I don't have Windows 7 but wonder if there isn't somewhere you can right click on your toolbars which will give you the option to untick the one you don't want?
quickcluck
I think you are right vicki but can't find my tool bar list
Ain't Nobody Here
So when you right click, what comes up? Found this - it refers to the Bing toolbar and IE8 but maybe it would work? It should be in your Add/Remove programs but if it's not, we'll presume you're using IE8 and go from there so we can at least disable it. 1 - Enable IE8's toolbar. To do that, right click on IE8's toolbar and enable 'Menu Bar'. 2 - Go to the 'Tools' menu and select 'Manage Add-ons'. 3 - Select/Hightlight BING Tool bar and click on 'Disable', in the lower right. Close, re-start IE8 and you should be all set.

Sam
Hmm... click 'tools' then 'add-ons' and on the 'extensions' tab disable/uninstall the webroot toolbar? All I can think of - hope you get it sorted! or just get google chrome, so much faster and less space used with toolbars searchboxes etc oops sorry just realised LCL suggested that.... google chrome it is! Sam
Usually when you install something, you have an option of installing things like a shortcut on the desktop, toolbar on mozilla etc so you would usually untick it before installing, but saying that if it did install that way it should end up in your program files as Webroot toolbar or something... Ain't Nobody Here
Whew . I hate it when something isn't right on my laptop so I know how you felt . I couldn't find the side bar with the in/out/sent folders in my email program the other day and it was driving me mad till ES casually said "what happens if you drag on that line?". And there it was .
