Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I've noticed in the Eglu, there's a bit that says "Webcam", does anyone know if it's possible to install a webcam inside the Eglu. If so, can anyone offer any advice on where to purchase the webcam and how to set it up?

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You'd need a night vision one really to get the benefit

 

Lots of people have webcams on their chickens... like us

 

Apologies that the runs are such a state at the moment I nastily burnt my hand, and have to keep it uncovered, so am on minimal cleaning duties for a few weeks

 

Edit - looking at the run on the webcam, I have shamed myself into cleaning the runs big run has had a full clean out, babies run has had a rake over and disinfect (as that's wood chip)

If you already have a wireless router than an IP camera is the way to go - it will connect to your router and you can record images etc onto your pc (or an external hard drive without a pc in some cases). I believe you can get night view ones too.

Wow that's great I'd love one maybe you can get one and view it on your iphone too, I would like one so I can see if one of mine who lays weak shelled eggs actually eats any pellets!

Can anyone recommend a good webcam for chicken watching? Something wireless with a good range would suit me!
