I have been toying with getting one of these for some time as three of my girls are now laying. They are all hybrids and at the moment the eggs are quite small but I hope they will get a bit bigger in time. I am now wondering which size egg skelter would be best to get, the small/medium or medium/large? Anyone else got one? Thanks for your advice. So chuffed the girls are laying that I want to display their eggs for all to see!! Wouldn't have thought eggs would be so exciting.

I got the medium large one - my girls are all large pure breeds. I love the way it keeps the eggs organised age-wise ....looks pretty cool too

I have one goldline, one blacktail and two bovan neras. The blacktail is the smallest of the lot although she was the first to lay.

i am also getting one of these! in pink i am buying a medium to large as my girls lay quite big eggs xx

I have a medium / large one in the cream and it suits all 'normal' shop size eggs. The small size is for bantam eggs.

I got the small/medium cream one,i didnt know which one to get either as some of my hens eggs are big and some are small.The large eggs get stuck so i wish i bought the larger one.

The larger is best. We have hybrids and our original girls laid eggs of between 60g and 80g and these fitted well - though don't roll but we just move them manually down. Our new chooks have just started laying and the first one 0f 35g was too small and would have slipped trough the gap but their latest 45g efforts are just big enough (and they do roll!)

I have three hybrids. I exchanged my skelter from a medium-large to a small-medium as the every egg was getting stuck on the larger skelter. Now though it's just the occasional egg.
