What do you mean by a "covered run"?

Recommended Posts

The list of run bedding says which beddings are suitable for covered/uncovered runs. I was just wondering (and this sounds very dim  ) what classes as "covered". My new Cube Run has a tarpaulin cover the full length of the top of it, but would that keep, eg, rapasorb/rapport, dry enough to be used in a run, or would the sides need to be covered too?

Mine has its roof covered but in the winter I put some sort of protection up on the sides too. I'm trying perspex panels this year as the clear tarpaulin has had it.

We have had some spectacular downpours this summer but the Easibed has always dried out pretty quicklyl. That won't be the case in the winter, I suspect, when the temperatures drop.

ANH, I have just replied in Eglus, Cubes and Runs - "preparing for winter" about putting up corrugated sheeting on the WIR this Winter. Can I ask what sort of perspex panels you will be using and how are you going to attach them to the run?
