Nacktschnecken omlet Cube

Following my post of the other day asking for advice for a newbie, and following delivery of our house and run (a chicube), we finally bought our girls today - I'm going to try to link to a couple of photos, but not tried this before!

 

They've been in the house for a couple of hours and we have opened the pop hole but at the moment they've all got stage fright! We're going to shut them up for the night and hope they venture out in the morning!

Lovely girls Interesting house, I haven't seen one before. Where do they go to lay eggs? Is there a separate area for laying?

They're sitting in the nest box in the photo of the three of them - it's in the corner of the house.

That's a very space age, chook house! Is it an Omlet one? I'd not seen one like that before. I hope your new chooks appreciate it and keep it looking nice and clean

Yes, it's a Chicube - the house is great, the run a bit more taxing to assemble!

 

The birds are a Light Sussex, a Rhode Rock and a Columbian Black Tail.

We started with a chi cube as the do a really good starter pack, which included 3 ex batts from little hen rescue. Since more hens struck we have upgraded to the cube. I do prefer the cube, but the chi cube was pretty good and easy to clean.
