emmastar Posted August 29, 2011 Share Posted August 29, 2011 Mop went broody just as i went away and i asked other half to look after her ( he did a good job ) he also asked if she should have some eggs ! so i said yes she would sit on eggs and hatch them to my shock he said get some to order a bit wiered as if i ask for more hens its normaly no ? So i got in touch with someone who keeps diferent breeds near me and ordered some cochin eggs ( im very fond of the big feather balls ) and as i sopke to the guy he said he had a spare pullet so today she arived after a few raised eyebrows from the oh she is here and names eve. I also have peekings and they are adorable and also very soft little balls of fluff but they do go on with themselves ALL day long there is a quiet chatering between them both . I try to imagine the conversations they are having But then again, they are at the back of a long garden so I don't hear it unless I want to... My garden is not to long but i do not mind as they are not that loud , nothing compared to my silkie who anounces birds and planes flying over i also live 5 min from manchester airport so you can imagine how aften that is .
