Unsecure chicken perches

Having had my bantams for 2 weeks now, I kind of want to let them out in the garden. I'm really nervous though just in case they get out or try to fly away. My old english game is just starting a moult and i found her clipped feathers on the ground so I'm assuming she will be able to fly now? Oh dear I'm such a wuss! Any advice?

Let them put toward the evening and have some corn or their favourite treat to hand. They'll go back in naturally to roost as it gets dark - and you can help by throwing the corn in the run to reinforce the message. Good luck

Agree they'll be far too interested to fly away and just keep calm so you don't panic them. I had one who ignored corn to get them back in (still does) so I just herd her in quietly with a long stick.
