chocolateeclaire
Miss Marple looks fine - no discharge - eating well - but when I pick her up each day to vaseline her legs (she has the first sign of scaley legs) she makes a revolting noise as though she has a huge glob of phlem suck in her throat!! Is she just doing this to worry me!!!! Claire
Plum
No idea. Put your ear on her back and listen to breathing that may help you work out if something respiratory is going on.
jennym
Oh dear. Can you look down her throat to see if there's anything there? I don't know much about hen anatomy so I'm not even sure if that's possible but it might be worth having a look. I have one hen who occasionally gives a very load snort/honk kind of noise, and I've come to the conclusion that she's sneezing. Does it sound like it might be that? Egghead68
Does she do it at any other time? Do you think she's just protesting about being picked up?
