poppy ben grace
Hi all, i just wanted your help in sexing my 5 week old pekings. I am fearing the worst as i have a feeling all 3 of my blue mottled are boys . Out of 5 pekings i think i have 1 hen! Thankfully i have found a home for them so i wont need to cull them. See what you think. The 2 def boys my only hope of a girl. think i am kidding myself looking at this again! Oh well!
Snowy
I'm no expert but my three are only just getting any red in their faces at 15 weeks.

Redwing
sadly they all do look like boys. Pullets have much more yellow combs
Egluntyne
I'd say boys too. Sorry.
craftyhunnypie
Yes all boys I think. Beautiful though. I have a soft spot for pekins! I've got 4 that will be 4 weeks this coming Saturday. I'm sure I have 3 definite girls, but I'm not convinced about the other one. Gut feeling was boy at first, but I had a doubt the other day - although tiny wattles starting (I think) - comb is still yellow at the moment. I'm watching like a hawk - not that it matters anyway, as keeping all these. Emma.x

Snowy
Just resurrecting this thread to compare pics of my pekin chicks. I'd convinced myself that my 2 are boys as their combs have a hint of red sometimes. These are pics of them at 4 weeks, but they are 5 weeks old today and don't look any different: Mo: Jess is the darker gold colour: Nothing like the combs on those two in the first pics - so maybe I do have 2 little girls after all? miller30
If they still look the same as those pics at 5 weeks then i would say they are girls by 5 weeks the boys have good red combs and a couple of mine have crowed leanne
