PC Paul Madden - attack in Ealing

Recommended Posts

I'm so impressed with this young man. He was severely injured by the defendant in horrifying circumstances but has had the fortitude to go back to work very quickly. He was/is on same borough as OH and YS and has impressed so many

people with his strength of character. The defendant was given a life sentence today, thank goodness considering the injuries he inflicted on the PC, members of the public and the PCSO, Piotr Dolata who has been equally brave and impressive, he had an horrific injury to his head and also returned to work quickly. Last of all, much praise to retired heart surgeon, Samad Tadjkarimi whose amazing reaction saved a life.

Also, I'd like to remember the traffic officer killed last night while trying to help member of public in Yorkshire.

Sorry to be dramatic but having had the 'your husband/son is ok but' call a few times I need to share!!

I agree wholeheartedly. Some people are just beyond comprehension.

My brother's a policeman and I worry about him constantly. He was once attacked by a gang of teenagers in his own front garden. Then one of the little 'darlings' had the cheek to say my brother had assaulted him! My brother was arrested by one of his colleagues (as a formality) and it made my blood boil. Needless to say the judge threw it out and the boy's mother (who of course has a perfect son) really had her eyes opened as she sat in on the interview (perfect son was only 15, drunk and abusive) when he admitted being in places he shouldn't have been (my boy couldn't possibly have been there etc etc) and admitted asssaulting my brother (my son's not aggressive or violent, how dare you etc etc) and named his accomplices (my son doesn't mix with 'those kinds' of young people etc etc).

For the most part the police do a great job and I personally feel that the' rights' of their clientele get too much air time. It's actually quite good to see someone getting a fair punishment for once.

I take my hat off to all police officers and actually anyone who has to deal with the general public at large. My YS has always wanted to be a policeman and if I'm honest, it scares me. I would obviously be very proud of him (also whatever he ended up doing) but I would spend my life worrying about what could happen to him.

So many people, of all ages, lack any respect for the police force. I think its shameful.
