Full length, lined, heavyweight fabric will need the largest, whereas lightweight fabric and short curtains will be better with the lighter ones. I've used the tape in the past (little lead weights in a string like teensy sausages). I used it on short but heavy, lined curtains and it wasn't quite enough. Hope this helps!
