Fixing a watch strap

Recommended Posts

Random question time!

I have a very gorgeous Fossil watch which has a brown leather cuff type strap with stitching & embroidery on it - I adore it...it is my winter watch.

Although it all looks in very good condition, the 2 little leather loops that hold the strap down have perished. One fell off yesterday & the other is almost worn through. I blame my job,as my arm is constantly grazing the top of the till.

Anyhow, does anyone know anywhere I can get there little thingys replaced?

I don't mind sending it someone if needs be,but the place I bought it from have told me that there is nothing to be done to fix it.

Such a shame if that is the case,as it looks like new still & all of its beauty is in the strap, but I cannot bear having a flappy strap end!

Yeah,my daughter has commandeered my spare watch

Or I would have worn it to work,as it just plastic.

Just called Fossil, & I can send it in for an estimate of repair, but it will take 4 weeks

And then it may be just a replacement strap....£45 :shock:

Yes,a leather place...I will look in Reading tomorrow.
