Recommended Incubators

Recommended Posts

Hopefully Father Christmas is bringing me some money for an incubator

Having never had one before or even hatched (hens have always gone broody at the wrong times  ) I am looking for tips on what is a good incubator and what features should I look for. Is automatic humidity highly recommended?

I have been looking at the R-COMs, does anyone have any experience of these.

Any advice appreciated and sorry if this is posted in the wrong place :anxious:

Have a look in the hatching and rearing section for lots of opinions and advice. I asked the same question when i was trying to decide which incubator to get, and decided on the Brinsea Octagon 20 automatic, and am very pleased with it.

The Incubator Shop is a good place to look too - give them a call, they are very helpful and their service is excellent. They also do good packages, including incubator, brooder, feeders etc.

It's a great Christmas present idea! :D

I you only want to hatch 6-7 the the Brinsea mini advanced is a good one I brought one last Christmas used it twice as a incubator and once as a hatcher with good results as much as I like chicks runing around the living room much prefere broodies far less work as worry
