Decoding/puzzle/cypher....

Recommended Posts

Phew! I can now put you all out of your misery

Having solved the jigsaw, I then had to solve the code on the page. It was a cipher called (ahem!) Brainf@*£. This then translated into numbers (my computer didn't recognise it as numbers so this threw me out!). Then I had to decode the numbers in a vigenere cipher. This gave me at first seemingly random words, but I then realised that it was a shopping list for toys from a large internet retail store...so I went to the page for the two items & there! Lo & behold! I found the co-ordinates in the product description that led me to the second floor of a shopping centre in Penzance. So there we were yesterday, with me hanging over the edge of the paraphet, knowing that the cache I was looing for was there somewhere. However I'm not tall enough & failed to find the very small object I was looking for :(

Then we had to go as it was school run time :(

Within the hour someone else had solved the puzzle, been to ground zero & retrieved the cache :roll::lol:

Do any of you fancy helping me solve the next puzzle

I know you've found the cache, but if you still want to solve the cypher I think I know how.

I believe it's written in a programming language (called a name I'm not going to type here. See this Wiki page). You need a compiler to turn it in to a program. If you run the program I would expect it to display useful message. That's my theory.

I've not tried to do this yet (I'm at work). May try later, if no one else get there first - good one for a computer geek
