DaveJNeal
hey All, so I'm looking at these excluders, and I've read the posts made here and else where on the problems with them fitting, etc. has anyone come up with a good solution please ? I dont see them fitting well in either orientation ( parallel with the frames or across the frames ) - they either have a gap in the side, in the middle or they sag resting on the dummy board and brood divider. I really dont feel comfortable with putting sticky gaffer tap over the gaps. So, is there any reason to *not* have the QE's on permenantly ? are there any circumstances where we'd want the queen in a super ? cheers DaveN D
Old Speckled Hen
Lots of people run their boxes without excluders all the time. It's something I might try one day when I have enough colonies to be able to play about.
DaveJNeal
if anyone does that can they pipe up please ? thanks in advance. I'd be interested in how they cope with brood in the supers, or if the queen can't be bothered to walk that far, etc Many thanks colleagues D
