craftyhunnypie
Going to be very busy over the weekend! Today I picked up this baby... A lady from The Spinning, Weaving & Dyeing Guild gave me the tip off that is was for sale! I'm over the moon! Please ignore my 1970's carpet ( not our choice). The couple selling my baby gave me the rug, which is made from fleece from their sheep. Said I can pull it apart & spin it if I want. Got the carders, the lazy kate & Niddy noddy all in. Snowy
Wow! I am very You will have lots of fun with that - I tried spinning many moons ago and would love to have done more, it is very therapeutic! (and that carpet is identical to the one that was in our first house back in 1991 - and it was old then! Good quality carpet though - was a shame it was such a mish mash of colours )
craftyhunnypie
Snowy it is the same carpet my mum & dad had in their house when I was a baby in 1974!!!! Not their carpet like - the people before us, left it in this house! Already got some wool tops in my house. But ordered some Blue faced leicester, Angora & some Merino silk coloured blends. Mmmmmmm. A happy bunny here. Yes very therapeutic. Just what I need with my current yukky illness. Something to take my mind of any pain. Plum
That carpet looks like new, it's about time they were in fashion again. I wouldn't do anything with your wheel it looks really good, just sit and worship it oh and hang beautiful tops on the wall behind.

craftyhunnypie
Ooo not thought of a name yet. It will have to be a very special name! I wanted to sit & do some spinning today, but haven't been well. These flippin' gallstones!!!! Grrr Never mind I shall hopefully feel better tomorrow & can put my mind to it - once I've done all my work. Plus my fibres will arrive in the morning! I can't wait to see the Merino silk blends in the flesh! Ooooo squooshy colourful loveliness! Emma.x
craftyhunnypie
Blast - my fibres didn't arrive today. Perhaps as well really, as had a really terrible day with my gallstones. Spent most of it on the bed. Had bath then put clean pj's on. Feel a bit better now, so going to watch some you tube videos on spinning to polish up on technique. Had all good intentions for today. Good job hubby is here! Have decided to pull the rug apart & sit & card the fleece ready for spinning. Will take some carding - all that lot! y poppy cat helps me a lot by tearing chunks of rug out - her new game! Emma.x
