Well, there's been a debate raging at work; one of the chaps wants a tab pooter... we have one ipad lover here and a Galaxy tab aficionado too. This chap currently has an android phone and an ipod, so the field is pretty open and he loves both.

 

I know that we're going to get some polarised opinions, but where better to come for reviews?

OH has a Blackberry playbook which he loves- He is a complete techy and will tell you all about

a certain brand that is very good at pulling the wool over consumers eyes and over charging.

You need a blackberry for the playbook to connect to the internet. I would go with the Galaxy Tab

One question that came up Fred - he has an ipod and wonders if it's possible to get itunes to play the music on a Galaxy Tab. I suggested that you might be able to connect it somehow and play through the Tab, but what do I know......

You can install your music on the tablet, but it is a bit long winded. See this.

I love my Motorola; the drawbacks are that it is a tad heavier & the big drawerback is that the sound quality is AWFUL!

The iPad is the best by miles, we have iPad 1,2 and a blackberry Playbook in our household. The iPad wins hands down, they are so simple and very clever!

Much as I love everything Apple and have a lot of their stuff I would go with the Galaxy Tab for the simple reason that unlike the iPad it supports Flash and I can't see a time when the issues between Adobe and Apple are ever sorted over this

I agree with chuckmum6 - we have the same combination here, iPads 1 and 2 and a Blackberry Playbook, and the iPad is by far the best.

There is no point getting a Playbook unless you have a Blackberry phone.

Thanks guys, I'll pass that on - he's been looking into synching his music Fred, although it beats me why he can't just have his ipod headphones in when fiddling on the tab

 

He's had a look at both at work this morning as both the other tab users are in today, so I'll let you know the result of his decision... at the moment it looks like being the Galaxy Tab as he has an Android phone and is used to the way the system works.
