pond... and chicken...

Recommended Posts

This afternoon, we let the ex batts(still fairly feather free, roam around our garden and veg beds.

Not very exciting for us, very exciting for them(bye bye tulips, not even in flower yet)

Then two broke away, wandered off by themselves, and Splash.

Chickens cant swim, so hen panicked, I panicked, we all got very wet, covered in pond weed, but all is well.

Chickens shiver.

I never knew that

Pond is now netted.

Chicken still has a coating of pondweed. It sticks when dry.

We moved here in September, and the pond was here already. It needs sorting, but the leaking house needed sorting more, .... now its stuffed full of frog spawn(pond, not house0, so we cant sort it until all have hopped off, so to speak. The deep bit is an old bath, with the pond liner over the top of it. It's horrid, and nothing lives in that bit, as they struggle to get out(as do Hens) The Busy bit is about human ankle deep, but would be good a bit deeper than that at one end. , say about calf deep!
