The Dogmother
From my Dogwatch/rural alert: Yesterday afternoon, 3 April a red Volvo, R727 DHO, was chased off a farm in Grazeley, Berks where the occupants of the vehicle were trying to steal chickens. They made off towards Burghfield. Do watch out if you're in that area, although I suspect that they were after commercial flocks due to the price of eggs now. Please call the police on 101 if you have any information.

Chortle Chook
I love my chooks but it has to be said that they are neither great egg layers nor perfect for the show bench so if someone was to nick them it would be a bit like the time a mugger grabbed me and rushed off with my shoulder bag - which had nothing in it but a dog poop scoop and pick up bags
Mrs Potts
I'd be devastated if someone took my hens; I would not mind about the run, but I'd be so worried if the hens went that they weren't being looked after properly. A lodger in our house, four footed and purry, was horrendously injured in a hit and run last week. Had to be PTS. He was the friendliest, sweetest little soul, very undemanding and known to spend the odd day on my bed in between his travels. His absence is such a cloud ... not quite sure where I would be if someone came and made off with the hens! Really felt for the Omleteer in Redditch who had their Classic stolen and their hen a few months back.
