I nearly lost Eva ..word of warning.

Recommended Posts

The girls were FR ing and I looked out and Eva was laid under the BBQ ..very still ,as she was frightened earlier in the afternoon by the hail I thought she had died of shock.

Rushing out there I saw her move and realised her head was stuck in the rungs at the bottom of the legs of the BBQ stood on the patio.I had never given it a thought that it was a hazard (except when alight) It took at least a minute or so to free her , her head was jammed .

Although she does not look hurt at the moment she has gone very quiet and will need to be kept an eye on.

Poor thing - it does seem that a shock knocks them for six.

A few weeks ago I took some treats into the run and Rose ran hell for leather for them, tripped over a bowl on the floor and faceplanted into the woodchip (lovely teen term that!). Anyway, she couldn't get up, I picked her up realising that her legs had gone backwards under her and she couldn't lever herself up. She seemed OK - I was convinced she had broken her legs! But that evening she didn't put herself to bed and I found her huddled in the corner of the run. So, put her to bed and the next day she seemed a bit subued but perked up as the day went on.

It doesn't seem to take much to depress them.
