anfternoon everyone just a quick question all my hens are doing this stretching there neck and oppening there mouth,now i read somewhere this meant something but i cant remember what ainy ideas.thanks

it was just today i noticed them do it it was quite a hot sunny day

Welcome to the forum Mine do this on occasion ,I always expect noise to come out but nothing does. It is like they are gulping for air.I don't think it is anything to worry about.

Mine do very occasionally to settle the crop but when I had one doing it a few times in a day I quickly double dosed with flubenvet (egg withdrawal period of 7 days with a double dose) just in case she had gapeworm. It all stopped quite soon so I never really knew what it was but I didn't want to risk gapeworm.
