chris170284
sorry my temp is Fahrenheit so yeah 37 ish,the incubator is home made so setting it was trial and error just wondrn from peoples experience what is the highest the temp can be without killing them
Purplemaniacs
I tried to keep mine between 37.4 and 37.6 as recommended by the Brinsea instructions but it did go a bit higher in the first week up to about 37.8 or 37.9 which left me in a panic but it was all ok in the end Good luck. Redwing
40 even for a few minutes will kill the eggs 37 is a bit low, 37.5 is great, worry if it goes over 38.5 If its a still air incubator (no fan) then its different again, I am borrowing a still air Polyhatch at the moment (too many eggs for my existing two machines!) and the temp in that has to be 39.4 at the top of the egg

Redwing
Dont panic yet - the humidity is fine as it is for now. at day 18 try to raise it without covering the air holes if you can (or if the holes are large just cover one) the eggs need air so domt block the vents completely whatever you do To raise the humidity you could take the eggs out and place down a damp cloth before replacing the eggs (damp not wet though!) or folded up bits of damp kitchen towel may help Or wait till the first egg pips and slip in some kitchen towel then, as they dont really need the extra humidity till that point Once the first egg hatches the drying chick will raise the humidity still further anyway
