kaza46
Hi all, i'm hoping someone can help me. My Broody will NOT poo. I have kicked her off her nest every day and checked to see if she has done anything but, nothing. Should i worry? Should i do anything to help her or is she like everything else, when ya gotta go, ya gotta go and dont' worry???
mollyripkim
When Cilla is broody she doesn't do normal poos but really large ones, almost small egg size, when I turf her off the nest. Are you sure she is not doing one large one when she is off the nest somewhere. Is she eating and drinking?
Redwing
Try removing the broody from the nest and dropping her from a couple of feet high letting her flap to the ground, this usually kick starts a poo
kaza46
Thank you all for your comments but i have just had to move her house and i noticed that while she has been sitting she has been pooing behind the plastic nesting box that we have her in so panic over. She obviously knows what she is doing and i am just going to have to be a more calmer "Granny"

kaza46
Thank goodness i missed it and it was a little on the old side so not rancid. I think best i keep an eye on her and make sure she doesn't do it over her eggs. Nice conversation, hope no one eating
dance in the dark
I know this has been ressolved now, but I was getting very worried about my broody, who had definately not pood (and today is day 8 for her) then I read on here about dropping them letting them flap down and see if that provokes anything. Well, I thought I would take the opportunity to give her a bit of a diatom dusting, so I took her further away from her nest than normal, she was seriously objecting, flapping and all sorts, then I popped her on top of the wheelie bin while I turned around to pick up the diatom, then I heard a squirt and a little thud, turned around and she has done a poo large than her eggs, so I was very pleased! Mind you it absolutely stank!!!
