Unsecure chicken perches

So far we have had two chicks hatch one blue pekin and one mottled pekin who are adorable another two have pipped but seem to have made very little progress since about three pm I am not sure if I should be concerned but will let nature decide they are another blue and mottled pekin I am 99.9% certain the other two Buff pekins eggs are duds.

Don't worry about the ones that haven't made much progress it can take a long time - maybe even 24 hours as they may not be quite ready - leave them overnight and see how far they are in the morning x but try not to worry - the worry makes people jump in too quickly to help (I know I've done it) are thy in an incy? If so don't open it ! It will lower the humidity and then they will have problems xx the hatched ones are fine in there for a good 24 hours whilst drying xx

They are under a broody and I won't interfere with nature it's a bit nervewracking this hatching business though

It's very nervewracking!

My three chicks hatched Monday (this week) Monday evening and yesterday evening - quite a difference in time - I think my constant peeping didn't help! I was a bag of nerves with the last one and ended up taking some shell of it and putting a warm flannel on the membrane to moisten it and shoving it back under Belle! I think it prob would have been ok even if I haven't intervened! I'm a stress head
