This is what we caught in our humane rat trap a couple of years ago

Brenda the hedgepig that we release the previous spring. We like to think that the little ones that we see around are her youngsters

She was a whopper. We had to stop feeding her because she ended up getting out from under the shed for her food and then going back under it again and doing nothing else We originally thought she was a he (helps when they uncurl ) so she had to have a hasty name change. Brenda apparently means sword and so with kids in the house sword=sharp, sharp=hedgehog

I thought it might have been after the character in Dinner Ladies.
