Luvachicken
Cruel I know, but I couldn't resist giving the Maybug I had caught to the girls. Myrtle moved quicker than the speed of light to get it, and you could hear it kind of flicking on the floor as she threw it around. But she did enjoy it and Melody did get a little bit too. Tonight I think I might be really mean and catch the ones that bang into my windows

superkitty
I remember getting swarmed by may bugs the summer after I moved out from home...I had never seen anything like them before and was a bit freaked out by them all battering against the window and laying all over the balcony
Luvachicken
They do seem to get a bit stuck once they are upsidedown Their proper name is a cockchafer. They are pretty gruesome and have funny little feelers on their head. Still they make a nice chicken snack
Benaberry
Just googled them - eeuw think I would have done the same as you . Husband inadvertantly caused a feeding frenzy last night by throwing some snails into the WIR at bedtime...
